United Nation proposed Sustainable Development Goals of 2030 Agenda under the watching eyes of the world. It represents yet a whole new level of focus being closely paid to sustainability achievement, especially so to companies by customers, suppliers, government agencies and local communities. 
Wanhua was awarded Silver Medal in EcoVadis evaluation, a world renowned scoring system marking the achievement of a company in sustainable development, in 2018. It represents Wanhua is now amongst the top 7% tier of all companies in terms of sustainable practice. In February 2019, Wanhua became the 23rd member of Together for Sustainability (TfS), an organization of global chemical leaders, to further the course of sustainable procurement.
Our achievements have not slowed down our effort in actively searching for the means to improve. Wanhua once again demonstrates its dedication and unyielding faith in sustainable growth and cooperate social responsibility by becoming a member in Global Compact.
“Global Compact” was first proposed by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan at Davos World Economic Forum in January 1999 and initiated officially in July 2000 in UN headquarter in thunderous applause. It aims in collectively unit all organizations, companies included, to uphold 10 principles in human right, labor standard, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
Human Rights
Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Labor
Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labor; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Environment
Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-Corruption
Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Following its participation in Responsible Care Initiative, Wanhua formally becomes a member of Global Compact in August 2019 and actively work to achieve global goals of sustainability while realizing its vision of creating wonderful life with solid contributions.
